FIRST CRAPPY outfit pics of 2012. Oh wow!

As I'm wearing dark clothes today, you can't see much but:

Monki shirt (with sheer lacing at the bottom), GAP jeans and Lanvin for H&M shoes*

*These shoes I actually totally forgot about. I had to look back in my shopping archive before I realized I actually bought them.

Now they're out of the box and ready to be worn. Not today though, I think working in those heels would be a bit of an overkill.

What is up with me these days you might ask? Oh, not so much. A whole lot of sleeping (seriously the other day I slept for 12 hours!!),

a little bit of exam reading and a whole lot of nothing. Tomorrow the exam is set and Saturday I fly to a very exotic (for me at least) destination with the family for 10 days. Life is not too bad, is it?

LET'S TALK spring couture. 2011 that is. A little late as always on my behalf:

1. CHRISTIAN DIOR, 2. ELIE SAAB - beautiful! Just beautiful.

3. GIVENCHY - the front of the dresses were far less interesting than the backs.

Couture has become so boring to watch as so many don't make and/or show their couture collections anymore:

Shocking that so few looks were appealing! Aaaah, that was nice getting this out of my inspiration map.

Now let's talk the lessons I learned Thursday night. Either I'm still hungover or sick (and I truly hope for the latter),

cause I was a bit more drunk than I wish to remember:

Lesson #1: When a truly handsome and charming man hits on you, go for it. Fight for love, or whatever.

Lesson #2: Drink less.

Lesson #3: Do not take on the dance floor alone (okay, not quite alone, I had a friend with me of course) at 3 A.M. after too many beers.

Lesson #4, referring to lesson #1: Stop being an arrogant bitch.

OH, PARIS mon amour. My trip to Paris with my amazing mom looked like this:

Coffee, coke and croissants at Café de Flore.

A short visit at Louvre for shopping at the bookstore.

The Tuilleries is truly beautiful.

Place Vendôme. Love, love, love!

Gallerie Vivienne is a must-visit. Not only because of the Christian Louboutin store.

WHAT A YEAR, what a year. A lot happened. So much that I almost didn't blog,

hence the holes in the review below. Where did January and May go?

FEBRUARY:

I bought a Halston dress after seeing Carrie carry it so well on Sex & the City.

I wore jeans from Topshop, cardi and blouse from H&M and my favorite bag from Chanel

I went and saw Walton Ford at the danish museum of modern art - Louisiana.

MARCH:

I told you about my training routines after comments on my wonderful body. Ahahaha, never heard that before.

APRIL:

In late March I moved to Paris for a few months. From my apartment I could see the Opera.

The weather was so good and on one of the hottest days we went to Sacre Coeur.

Where the view over the city was amazing.

JUNE:

After staying in Paris for a few months I finally visited the Eiffel Tower, and the sky was so beautiful.

Almost everyday we ate lunch at Sushi Folie's where I had amazing sushi.

I celebrated my birthday in Paris, but when I returned to Denmark I was celebrated by my family,

wearing a cheap dress bought in Paris and a Julie Sandlau necklace I got by my best friends.

JULY:

I finally got the orange Hermès Kelly bracelet by my parents and wore it together with Topshop jeans and Gaf Rimon t-shirt.

July was still a little cold so I wore shorts from Topshop and leather jacket from Muuba on my way to work.

And again with same jeans and By Zoe top.

And I finally saw The Strokes live at the Roskilde Festival. I love those dudes!

AUGUST:

Summer finally arrived, and I celebrated that by wearing H&M card, Stella McCartney top and H&M shorts.

Still with black tights, though? Hmm .. I'm always freezing.

I showed you where I'm living and the view from my window.

And I went to Crete with my girls for the third year in a row. Love that place!

NOVEMBER:

8 months too late I showed you the Camilla Skovgaard wedges I got by my dear mom as a going away present,

when I went to Paris.

I had finals and studied at the library..

.. and at home.

I showed you the pictures of a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert I had been at a month earlier.

DECEMBER:

I worked worked worked, first on a school project that took up most of my time, and later at work selling christmas gifts to God knows who.

I was also reunited with my other home, Paris, and finally celebrated christmas with a christmas outfit.

All in all a pretty good year if I must say so myself. Already have lots planned for 2012. First stop: an exam. Second stop: Hong Kong for the chinese new year. Basically I can celebrate new year's eve once again if tonight is no good.

Thursday to Monday I spend in my other home, Paris. Soso amazing to be back, and loads of shopping.

Tuesday to Friday I workedworkedworked. Most days I didn't get off until 20.30 PM, so I am a bit tired.

But now - it's Christmas. That's why above you have my absolute favorite christmas songs.

Woah, I'm really stressed out. At my university you basically work on your final in a group for the entire semester.

Me and my study are making the final touches, and we are handing it in on Thursday at the latest.

THE RESTAURANTS:

Ferdi, 31 Rue Mont-Thabor, 75001: One of my favorite restaurants in Paris. The restaurant is really small with a special interior and delicious food. Try their mini cheeseburger, which is apparently a fashion crowd favorite at fashion week. The service is not always good, and you’re not always treated that well, if one of their regular costumers arrive and need your table.

Le Pain Quotidien, 8 Marché Saint-Honoré, 75001: Delicious place to have your breakfast. Organic bread, jam, white/dark Nutella, etc. You should also try their warm croissant with cheese and ham.

Mezzo di Pasta, 164 Rue Montmartre, 75002: This pasta chain you can find all over town. If you like pasta and need to find a quick lunch Mezzo is ideal. You receive fresh take-away pasta of your choice.

Le Petit Marché, 9 Rue de Béarn, 75003: Very delicious french cuisine with a touch of Asia. The restaurant is situated in a petite cozy street in Marais. Try the yummy tuna.

L’as du Falafel, 34 Rue des Rosiers, 75004: You find Paris’ best falafel here. Delicious produce: fried eggplant among others.

Café Dôme, 4-6 Rue de Rivoli, 75004: Sit down at this café in Marais. I prefer to sit outside in the sun if the allows it. If not place yourself inside in their nice sofas. I eat the scrimp salad EVERY time. You won’t find it better.

Les Comtoirs des Archivess, 41 Rue des Archives, 75004: This café in the heart of Paris is specially ideal at night, where you’re able to sit outside under their heat lamps. The food is not overly amazing, but the café itself is very nice.

Breakfast in America, 4 Rue Malher, 75004: Slightly atypical to eat American food in Paris, but nevertheless delicious to get blueberry pancakes and other American specialties, specially when you’re hungover.

Berko Cupcakes, 23 Rue Rambuteau, 75004: At Berko you find the cutest mini cupcakes in Paris.

Sugarplum, Rue du Cardinal Lemoine, 75005: Delicious cakes and homemade icetea.

Café de Flore, 172 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006

Café les Deux Margots, 6 Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés, 75006:

Sit down at one of these iconic cafés if you want to sniff a bit of stardust from Claude Monet, Jean-Paul Sastre and Simone de Beauvoir, but expect the prices to be pretty high.

Sushi Folie’s, 80 Boulevard Raspail, 75006: Very good Asian lunch place, if you’re looking for a cheap lunch. I’ve sat at their plastic chairs numerous times eating amazing sushi.

Chez André, 12 Rue Marbeuf, 75008: Traditional French kitchen with fantastic oysters if the season allows it.

Café Sud, 12 Rue de Castellane, 75008: Delicious French food with a touch of Asia.

L’Avenue, 41 Avenue Montagne, 75008: Sit outside at this café and enjoy the sight of the many stylish people on their way to shopping at Chanel and Christian Dior among others.

Buddha Bar, 8 bis Rue Boissy d’Anglas, 75008: The food inspired by Asia is heavenly and the surroundings with a giant Buddha is worth an experience. Try the amazing stir-fried tuna.

Chartier, 7 Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, 75009: You will probably have to wait in a long line outside this restaurant that have room for approximately 200 guests. Here you will experience the real Parisian mood with stressed out waiters and lots of French costumers.

Hôtel Amour, 8 Rue Navarin, 75009: Classic French cuisine and a very interesting interior. Sit on the cozy patio. It’s a hotelrestaurant and I’ve heard that the hotel itself should be worth a visit too.

Fuxia, 25 og 51 Rue des Martyrs, 75009: Delicious Italian café and restaurant chain. At the café you can almost only get amazing pasta dishes. The other part is more of a restaurant.

Pizza Tivoli, 5 Rue La Fayette, 75009: This restaurant has a special place in my heart. It is situated almost exactly next to my apartment in Paris, which meant that I ate there quite often. Nice Italian food and great pizzas.

Refuge des Fondus, 17 Rue des 3 Frères, 75018: Fondue and wine in babybottles. A must-visit! The restaurant is very small and typically filled with American tourists but the concept is so weird that you have to try it.

TIPS:

Bertillion, Île Saint-Louis: Paris’ best ice cream! Bertillion HAS to be tasted. I’m especially

digging the apricot and peach ice cream,

Boulangeries: The Paris bakeries are cheap and delicious! A baguette costs approximately 1-2€, but still they taste so good!

LET'S TALK BEAUTY! Below are the beauty products I use on a daily or weekly basis.

Shu Uemura is THE brand to buy for your hair. I have never tried a better product for my hair,

and I use both shampoo, conditioner and treatment on a regular basis.

Moroccanoil is a lifesaver for your hair. My hair is a whole new person after trying this, I'm telling ya'.

It can take me up to half an hour to comb out my hair, so I use leave in conditioner spray.

This one is from a Danish store called Matas, but I'm sure you can find something similar everywhere.

This body scrub from The Body Shop has a sentimental value to me. It reminds me of childhood.

Try working at a store in December where you have to wrap maybe 500 gifts. You hands literally die.

That's how I got addicted to this product. AMAZING! I use it pretty much everyday.

I'm not sure whether this is solely a Danish product, but you just have to look for the thickest cream you can find.

If the other cream is a little too thick, I use this amazing Jurlique hand lotion with a smell of citrus.

Sometimes I find that cream can make my hands feel even more dry than they were before,

but this one does not. It's just heavenly!

I have the same problem with my lips. Most lip balms make my lips more dry in the long run,

so the only product I use for my lips is Labello. Basic and awesome!

I rarely wear make-up, but when I do I just remove it with the cheapest make-up-remover from the store.

I've used the Diorshow Iconic Mascara for as long as I remember. My eyes get easily irritated, so I always use mascara with a silicone brush.

A lash curler is THE product for your lashes. I'm amazed of how big a different it actually makes.

This one is actually just from Sephora in Paris and not very good, but I've heard that the one Shu Uemura makes is the best out there.

Any products you want to recommend me?

I'm starting to feel better. I have had some pretty rough 4 days with the flue and a fever coming and going.

Friday I was sure I was going in the right direction, and then in the night my temperature rose again so I had to call in sick at work.

I BOUGHT THE MOST AMAZING oil for my hair yesterday.

If you're not yet familiar with moroccoanoil, I suggest you look into the product.

You know how you always read about these products and they never work?

Well, I am actually quite amazed by this oil. You can use it in both wet and dry hair (that does not get oily).

After trying in once yesterday after my workout (woooah!), my hair is already softer and less frizzy.

MIRANDA KERR is freaking DIVINE! I love this editorial and the styling.

Aahh, I got the answer on a very important blood test yesterday. I'm so happy!

Those of you who have been a regular visitor the last three (!!!) years (if any of you are even still here),

might remember, that my mom had a blood clot in the heart in December 2008.

It is a problem in my family and both my grandfathers died of blood clot, my mom has already had one and my aunt has problems with her arteries as well, so I'm really really happy that I'm not genetically predisposed.

Other than that I'm still stressing out badly. I hope it will be more calm in two weeks time,

but at that point I of course have new commitments.

A FEW everyday life shots from Paris because I just went and saw Midnight in Paris with my parents.

Picture 1: French Open (or Roland Garros as the french call it) finale on big screen at Hôtel de Ville.

Picture 2: Drinking whine out of babybottles in Montmartre.

Picture 3: Picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower with amazing friends.

Actually one of the things I miss the most about Paris is the picnics. SO GOOD!

This week was supposed to be all about pampering for me and my mother,

but today meant a sudden trip to the dentist, because I have a wisdom teeth that is killing me.

Apparently I have a throat infection. Random much? Tomorrow is all about a trip to the doctors,

so the only pampering as of now was a trip to the hairdressers today. My hair is so pretty now I might add.

I WAS ACTUALLY going to stop with the bikinishots (and I will after this post),

but I had to post this.

I new I was skinny back in 2008 (first shot), cause I weighted less than I've ever done in my teen years,

but after comparing the picture to a shot that was taken on the exact same beach in Greece this year,

I don't remember ever being that skinny, and I can't really figure out which figure I like the best - then or now?

What do you think? (Not that I'm going to start a diet anytime soon).

I walked down when I visited the eiffel tower, and I wore this:

since I'm truly a Cocaholic. On this occasion I wore:

I TRULY APOLOGIZE for the picture storm below,

but Claude Monet's garden in Giverny outside of Paris is truly magnificent.

If you're ever in Paris, I seriously recommend you to take the train from the St. Lazare station to see this amazing garden.

I'm definitely going back next time I'm in Paris, since I didn't get to see the house,

because of our late revival and the ridiculous line.

We actually stranded in Vernon and had to wait for hooours for the next train,but the trip was worth it!

THINGS TO DO AND SEE:

MUSEE DE L’ORANGERIE, 1 Place de la Concorde, 75001:

You find Monet's fantastic water lily paintings here.

MUSEE DU LOUVRE, 99 Rue de Rivoli, 75001:

Mona Lisa IS overrated, but the museum does also have more to offer.

PLACE VENDÔME, 75001:

If you can afford to spoil yourself or someone else with a very expensive and exclusive piece of jewellery, it’s here you need to buy it.

Regardless the square is very beautiful.

MUSEE DES ARTS DECORATIFS, 107 Rue de Rivoli, 75001:

The museum itself is not extremely exiting,

but keep an eye on the fashion special exhibitions and take a look in the shop next door for books on fashion.

MUSEE DE LA CHASSE ET DE LA NATURE, 62 Rue des Archives, 75003:

Paris’s hunting museum and possibly the most bizarre museum, I’ve ever visited.

Walk from ceilings made of stuffed owls to speaking albino boar to monkeys the size of humans.

PLACE DE VOSGES, 75004:

Square surrounded by old house and arcades with restaurants and shops.

One of the most beautiful squares of Paris, if you ask me.

CENTRE POMPIDOU, Place George Pompidou, 75004:

One of Paris’ modern museums where you will find a good permanent exhibition and interesting special exhibitions.

JARDIN DES PLANTES, 75005:

Lovely park that as the name indicates is full of beautiful and well-kept plants (and flowers)

JARDIN DU LUXEMBOURG, 75006:

Beautiful park where an afternoon in the sun easily can be spend in one of the park’s many green chairs.

MUSEE D’ORSAY, 2 Rue de la Légion d’Honneur, 75007:

One of my favourite museums in Paris because of the beautiful building that houses the museum.

Expect lots of tourist, but pay the museum a visit anyway and keep an eye out for the cute ballerina made by Degas.

MUSEE MARMOTTAN, 2 Rue Louis-Boilly, 75016:

Impressionistic museum with a big collection of Monets paintings and often also interesting special exhibitions.

BUTTES-CHAUMONT, 75019:

Ideal park if you want to get away from the noise of the city.

With a fake waterfall, a temple on the top of a fake island and many beautiful flowers and trees this park is definitely worth a visit.

BUTTES-BERGEYRE, 75019:

This is possibly Paris’ smallest “city” with only 4 streets.

With many interesting buildings/houses and with Montmartre with Sacre Coeur on the top in the distance.

MUSEE DE L’ART MODERNE DE LA VILLE, Avenue Président Wilson, 75119:

Modern museum that houses the world’s biggest painting by Raoul Dufy.

VARSEILLE:

Take the slightly long trip to Varseille if you want to see how Marie Antoinette and Ludvig the 14th lived.

MONET’S GARDEN, GIVERNY:

Monet’s garden in Giverny definitely needs to be visited.

The garden is fantastic with the green bridges and the iconic water lilies.

TIP: Buy the weekly magazine Pariscope where all exhibitions, cinema-, theatre- and operashows are listed.

MY FIRST WEEK of vacation is over. Mostly spend far north in Skagen with delicious food and sun.

The last few days have been spend in the beach house with sun, sun and more sun.

Today I wore what could be my favorite piece of summerclothing: a jumpsuit I found in a little shop in Saint Tropez years back.

.. And a bikini from Topshop, I must have bought on sale last year, cause I don't remember ever wearing it..

Furthermore I bought those cool Palladium boots in Paris after hunting for them for 2+ years.

I send a picture to my mom after buying them and she wrote me this back:

"The Palladium boots are very cute and a bit nostalgic, because they remind me of you as a little girl".

One of the reasons why I really wanted these boots is because I had them in numerous colors as a kid.

Little did I know that Copenhageners would be swarmed with them when I returned.

Apparently the new trend or what? Crap!

Anyways - I'm in bed with a movie. CIAO!

MORE PARIS outfits:

This is actually was I usually wore, when I just slouched around town in Paris.

The first shot is taken in the amazing Jardin des Plants, that you should totally visit and the second is taken outside of the store Goyard,

because CB is my initials. Shouldn't I just own this luggage?

Woah, it seems like I wore my All Stars a whole damn lot in Paris.

The last 4 outfits I've shown from Paris, I've been wearing those exact shoes.

I don't really remember wearing them that much, but they sure are good!

So funny to see a picture from the beginning of my stay (picture 2), where the shoes were still white,

and then a pic from the end of my stay (picture 1) where they are grey, from all that dirt in Paris.

The most exotic plans I have this year is a trip to Crete with my girls in August.

That outfit on the first picture gave me so much attention on a night out,

SINCE I DON'T HAVE anything at all to post today, here is me trying to fit into a dryer in Paris.

We washed clothes every 2 weeks on Rue Rosiers in Marais, and for some reason I really wanted to see if I could fit into this drier.

Today has been my day off this week. I met up Charles for lunch and went for camerashopping with daddy.

I bought a Canon S95, because I was in serious need of a pocket size camera. I'll tell you more about that later.

I WENT TO DINNER at Frog's place tonight wearing this:

Muubaa leatherjacket (new buy - love it!), Topshop jeans, By Zoe top, H&M cardi and Camilla Skovgaard wedges

(but changed into a pair of worn out Lanvin's because it looked like it was going to start raining anytime).

Today has been fairly good actually. Went to the museum Louisiana with my dad,

and finally saw the amazing installation Gleaming Lights of the Souls by Yayoi Kusma. Absolutely amazing!

Oh, weekends off work are too good!

SOOOO The Roskilde Festival is over and out. I won't say it has been amazing, because really with a bad program

like this years, there is a long way to amazing.

But I did see some great shows and some not so great shows.

I actually didn't spend that much time at the festival, hence the very few shows:

The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Kaizers Orchestra, Kings of Leon, the danish rapper L.O.C, VETO, and parts of Bigboi and De Eneste To (The Only Two).

The only really really great concert was The Strokes that BLEW my mind! They were absolutely amazing!

The best show I've been to in around 4 years.

Can't wait to see another show, but when and where I don't know.

If you went to Roskilde what moment was your favorite?

Today I'm just chilling. I'm dead tired, so not many plans today.

I SPEND Wednesday and yesterday at the Roskilde Festival with partying, drinking, no sleep, dancing and of course music.

I'm still hungover from Wednesday night, but am MAJOR exited to see the above dudes tomorrow*.

The last time I was this exited to see a band was back in December 2006 when I saw Red Hot Chili Peppers.

This was what I wrote in another blog back then after the concert:

"It was just such an fantastic concert that I won't really go more in to, because it was indescribable".

I hope I will be just as exited after the concert tomorrow.

I returned home late last night and am now at the beach house with the parents and grandmother.

AFTER 3 MONTHS in Paris it's incredible that I only made it to the second level of the eiffel tower.

Anyways - I went there one night with a bunch of my american friends.

I took these pictures on my way there. The sky was incredible - these pictures are non-edited.

Today I spend the entire day at the Roskilde Festival with amazing friends.

I'm now home again, but am planning on going there again tomorrow.

THE LAST MONTH in Paris we basically ate at this chinese place called Sushi Folie's every day for lunch.

I can imagine that they have restaurants all over town, but this one was on 80, boulevard Raspail, 75006 Paris.

Anyways - I always had the same. 6 california rolls, 6 maki rolls (with avocado of course) and a coke.

The last time there I made my own combination with avocado, cucumber and cream cheese. SO GOOD!

This lovely lunch costed me about 10 €, which is way less than most lunches in Paris.

I RETURNED to my beloved Denmark late Saturday night.

In the airport was my family, grandmother and 4 of my closest friends. I felt like I had been away for a year,

but in reality it was only a few months. Hehe.

I've been really busy the last few days with birthday celebration (me! I turned 20 last Thursday - but more about that later),

graduation parties for lots of friends and seeing friends, so unfortunately no time for blogging.

The above outfit is from my birthday celebration and homecoming with my entire family last Sunday.

SOOO .. because I'm home alone and a bit bored, I found time to do a little post.

I've had this weird feeling in me the last few weeks. Like this urge to go home or something.

But today was a really good day. And what did I do you might ask? I had sushi for lunch and then did washing all day.

Maybe it has something to do with a very cute experience I had Saturday night. What experience you might ask?

Oh, just this cute guy, that ran after me after I had said goodbye and said "I forgot to do this" and gave me a little kiss.

I AM VERY MUCH still alive, but figured it wouldn't really bother any of you not to hear from me for a while.

I'm doing fantastic here in Paris in amazing 30 degree weather (86 fahrenheit).

I am starting to get ready to go home. I'm starting to miss home,

which tells me that I'm not made for living away from my family and friends.

I'm returning in exactly two weeks and will try to do all the things I yet have to do the next weeks,

and enjoy my last week with my favorite american friends, so I'll see you all in a few weeks!

We can also kind of see the Eiffeltower behind some chimneys.

One of the greatest thing about the area around Montmatre is the little artists shops. This I particularly enjoyed.

HOW FAST has this week gone? Insane!

I can't believe I've been in lovely Paris for a week already.

I'm doing really well, love going to school and fall deeper in love with Paris every day.

I've had a somewhat emotional day today though. I don't know why really.

I just think this first week has been a little too intense and I really miss my family and friends back home already.

I'm not really fit for traveling away from home for a long period.

Anyways - I will post some pictures soon, when I have any to post and am in the midst of doing a little guide.

I write down every good experience, café, restaurant, bar, shops, whatever to do an awesome guide in the end.

I AM SO SORRY for the bad updates the last week. It has been spend in moving hell.

We had movers yesterday while I had to pack for 3 months in Paris. It was a craaazy day!

But I am now in lovely Paris and it is absolutely amazing.

3 months here will be so awesome!
